EM2030 Global Advocates Survey highlights the need for data to combat gender inequality
Updated: Dec 17, 2019
According to the Equal Measures 2030 Global Advocates Survey, the three biggest priorities today in relation to gender equality are:
- Reducing gender based violence
- Sexual and reproductive health and rights
- Economic empowerment, access to land and financial inclusion
Advocates believed that the biggest gap in government data sources relating to gender equality, was that data collection on issues affecting females in policymaking isn't prioritized.
The Equal Measures 2030 Global Advocates Survey received a total of 613 survey respondents with advocates residing across 48 countries. 82% of the survey respondents were female.
